Sealcoating is essential to asphalt, just as paint or stain is to untreated wood. Asphalt is porous. It can retain water and cause significant damage over time. The sealer creates a protective barrier against water, gas, and oil leaks that soften asphalt.
Some people don’t like the look of the black asphalt, so we offer the sealer in red, blue, green, or gray. It comes in either latex or water-based material. The sealer takes 4-6 hours to dry.
The sealer should be applied when the surface is 60 degrees or warmer for a proper bond to the asphalt. The surface should be clean of all debris. We offer sealer applied by hand or sprayed on, whichever you prefer.
